Within the framework of the Forbes Powerful Women Gala, Ana Yáñez, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Actinver, offered a message that emphasized what is not always measured, but that defines the direction of companies: the impact of leadership with vision.
“Beyond the metrics and visible results, we are here to celebrate talent, character and vision,” Yáñez stressed before an audience made up of female business leaders. In her speech, she highlighted that each advance achieved by a woman in decision-making positions not only drives projects and industries, but also transforms mentalities and paves the way for new generations.
From Actinver’s perspective, the CFO emphasized, the recognition of female leadership responds to a strategic conviction: supporting those who make decisions with determination, integrity and an extraordinary capacity to generate real impact. “We value leadership that inspires, that transforms and that leaves its mark on everything it touches,” he stated.
Under that spirit and inspiration, Yáñez presented the Woman Leader in Sustainability award – awarded by Forbes México – to Jessica Ponce de Leondirector of Sustainability at FEMSA, for her constant work in favor of the environment and the reduction of the carbon footprint within the organization.
With more than two decades of experience in the logistics and consumer industries, Ponce de León has built a career marked by strategic execution and the development of high-performance teams. She was the first General Director of Solística, where she played a key role in the expansion and consolidation of the company until it became the largest logistics operator in Latin America.
His experience covers commercial, operational, human resources, strategic planning and comprehensive value chain management areas. However, as highlighted during the ceremony, his leadership transcends the fulfillment of objectives: he is distinguished by accompanying, training talent and opening new possibilities for others. It is no coincidence that she has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Mexico 2025.
“His story reminds us that excellence is not a destiny, but a form of character,” said Yáñez, alluding to an authentic leadership style that combines results with purpose.
For personal reasons, Jessica Ponce de León could not attend the gala. The recognition was received on her behalf by Erika de la Peña, Manager of Communication and Press Strategy, who took the stage to represent a leader whose career confirms that sustainable impact is built with consistent decisions and actions that inspire every day.
Her message was clear at the Powerful Women Gala: when a woman grows, so do organizations, communities, and the country’s business future.
