An incredible day-one release is arriving on Xbox Game Pass on March 5, and it’s a sequel to a 2023 hit that you won’t want to miss. A lot is going on for the subscription service in early 2026. Several major titles have been added to the catalog during the first few months. This includes some day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass, such as High on Life 2, which was added in mid-February.

Even though there are huge day-one releases planned for later this year, a few smaller titles are arriving this year. As part of the March additions, which also include Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Game Pass, Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf is a day-one release on the subscription service, arriving on March 5. Because this game is a day-one release, it will only be available for the Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers – since the service’s changes in 2025, these are the only two tiers that receive day-one games.

Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf will be playable via Cloud Gaming, Xbox Series X/S, handheld devices, and PC. With the arrival of this title on Xbox Game Pass in March, it’s likely that members will have at least a year to play the game before it is potentially removed from the catalog. Even so, it may be worth playing this puzzle-platformer adventure game as soon as it arrives.

Looking further down the line, Microsoft has confirmed both Forza Horizon 6 and Fable as day-one releases on Game Pass in 2026 – Forza Horizon 6 arrives on May 19, while Fable is expected to drop in Autumn.

Last year, when the subscription service underwent changes to its structure, the company teased that 2026 would be a huge year for day-one releases, and it seems like that is coming to effect quicker than anticipated. Day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass are a huge benefit for Ultimate members, and Planet of Lana 2 is a remarkable title for a year full of big games.
