Ximena Guzmán, the private secretary of the Head of Government, and José Muñoz, an advisor to the capital administration, were killed on Tuesday morning on Tlalpan’s road, near the Xola Metro station.
“From the first moment the investigations began to clarify this unfortunate fact, this event is investigated with the same rigor with which the institutions carry out their work every day. Investigate, clarify and that there is no impunity,” said local president Clara Brugada in a message to media.
Who was Ximena Guzmán?
The private secretary of the Head of Government was a graduate in Sociology from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM), he also studied a master’s degree in Sociology at the École des Hautes études in Social Sciences, in Paris, according to a note from Quadratín Mexico.
According to the agency, in 2010 she served as an educational coordinator in Iztapalapa, where she met Clara Brugada. It was also sports link in the Mayor’s Office Miguel Hidalgo, during 2012.
Prior to his entry to the Head of Government, Ximena Guzmán held the position of private secretary when Clara Brugada was mayor of Iztapalapa, in the 2018 to 2023 period.
Who was José Muñoz?
José Muñoz was a degree in Political Science and Public Administration, with more than 35 years of experience in government institutions, according to the Quadratín report.
He was an advisor to the Ecology and Environment Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, in the 1991 and 1994 period.
He served in several positions within the then Federal District until 2009.
Then he joined the administration of Clara Brugada within Iztapalapa and became coordinator of demarcation advisors in the 2010-2012 period.

From 2010 to date, José Muñoz was part of Clara Brugada’s internal team.
