As part of the strategies to increase the influx of Visitors Vía Marítima to Yucatán, the Government of the Mayan Renaissance, headed by Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena, will participate through the Secretariat of Tourist Development (Sefotur), in the Seatrade Cruise Global, the main international cruise tourism event, with an interesting proposal that will present to the shipping companies to increase the arrival.
About this important event, which will be held in Miami, Florida, from April 7 to 10, 2025the head of the Sefotur, Darío Flota Ocampo, informed that during those days the competitive advantages that the Yucatan destination has to be included in new routes of the companies will be promoted, as well as increasing the frequencies of arrivals of ships that were already in the port.
This meeting brings together the companies and service providers of the cruise tourism industry around the world that seek new products of the destinations that they consider better qualified by travelers, in order to expand the offer to walk to tourists.
Yucatán will be present in the 2025 edition of the Cruise Global Seatrade, which is carried out annually at the Miami Convention Center, Florida, and will do so in a stand along with Puerto Chiapas, Puerto Vallarta and the MPS company, specialized in the sustainable management of vessel waste.
This tourist exhibition attends representatives of ports and destinations, as well as construction, design, security, technology, entertainment, health, environment, hotel and concessions companies.
For Yucatan it is important to participate in this event, since the main shipping companies expose, make meetings and contact the destinations with those who work, to keep up on different topics. It also allows contact with other destinations, authorities, executives of shipping lines, tour operators and tourism professionals from Mexico and abroad.
During the exhibition days, meetings will be specified, together with the port authorities, with the executives of the shipping companies and updated operational information of the port, attractions and existing infrastructure of Yucatán will be presented, with the aim of attracting the attention of new shipping lines towards progress.
