Los Angeles, (EFE) .- Billy Joel announced the definitive cancellation of his tour of the United States and the United Kingdom after receiving a diagnosis of hydrocephalus.

“Billy Joel has announced that he will cancel all the scheduled concerts after a recent diagnosis of normotensive hydrocephalus (HNT). This condition has been aggravated by the recent presentations in concerts, which has caused hearing, vision and balance problems,” said the American singer’s team through his social networks.

The musician is receiving “specific physiotherapy and has been advised to refrain during this recovery period,” the writing added.

“I sincerely regret our audience and thanks for understanding,” said Joel in the statement.

The 76 -year -old singer announced on March 11 that he postponed his concert tour for four months to recover from a surgery from which he offered no details.

The concert tour included several appointments in different parts of the US in the coming months, such as Las Vegas, San Antonio, San Luis or Cleveland, as well as a stop in the British cities of Edinburgh and Liverpool.
