A group of businessmen and CEOs of Canadian companies will hold meetings and conversations with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, as well as with the heads of Economy and Foreign Affairs to promote a bilateral agenda, reported the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).
A delegation of CEOs of prominent Canadian companies will visit the country with the aim of strengthening trade relations, promoting continental economic security and promoting the economic integration of North America to consolidate a more prosperous and competitive region, said the organization led by Francisco Cervantes. Diaz.
On January 15, 2015, they will host an important meeting between business leaders from Mexico and Canada, the second largest trading partner, he said.
He added that Canadian senior executives will hold strategic meetings with President Claudia Sheinbaum, leaders of the Mexican private sector and key officials such as the Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, as well as Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente.
The main purpose of these meetings will be to promote economic and commercial cooperation between both nations, in strategic sectors such as financial services, investment, transportation, energy, automotive, manufacturing, aerospace, technology and agribusiness, commented the business entity.
“These areas represent key pillars for the development of North America’s regional competitiveness in a global context of constant economic transformations,” he recalled.
The meeting, said the CCE, underscores the commitment of business leaders from Mexico and Canada to strengthen long-standing integrated supply chains and promote reciprocal investments and economic cooperation.
By consolidating efforts in strategic sectors, the business organization added, both countries seek to reaffirm the role of North America as one of the most dynamic and integrated economic regions in the world.
