Fallout season 2 has changed its weekly release schedule ahead of its finale. Prime Video’s popular video game adaptation returned for its second season on December 16 and, unlike the first season, which premiered all eight episodes at once in April 2024, has been releasing new episodes weekly on Wednesdays at 3 a.m. EST/12 a.m. PST.

Now, Prime Video’s Fallout has announced that season 2, episode 7 will be released tomorrow, on Tuesday, January 27 at 6 p.m. PST, moved up one day from January 28. Also, episode 8 (the season 2 finale) will be released the following week, on Tuesday, February 3 at 6 p.m. PST, moved up from February 4.

Prime Video’s post, addressed to “Vault Dwellers,” says the change is “due to strong participation and interest” and that “your punctuality is appreciated!” Check out the post below:

Fallout season 2 continues following Lucy (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) as they track her father, Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan), through the Wasteland and eventually into New Vegas, run by the mysterious Mr. House (Justin Theroux).

Fallout season 2’s cast also includes the return of Aaron Moten as Maximus, Moisés Arias as Norm MacLean, Xelia Mendes-Jones as Dane, Frances Turner as Barb Howard, Sarita Choudhury, Leslie Uggams, Johnny Pemberton, Zach Cherry, Michael Cristofer. Other new cast members include Macaulay Culkin, Kumail Nanjiani, Martha Kelly, Jon Gries, Edwin Lee Gibson, and Ron Perlman.

It’s unclear why Prime Video made the minor change to Fallout season 2’s release schedule other than it being “due to strong participation and interest.” However, in reality, Fallout season 2’s ratings have been way down due to the previous change in its release schedule, going from a binge model to a weekly release schedule for its second season.
