Bad Bunny’s Spotify streams in the United States increased by 470% and global streams grew by 210% after his Super Bowl halftime show.
As soon as he took the stage, fans reacted immediately, turning to Spotify in real time to interact with his music during and just after the halftime performance.
Bad Bunny’s surprise guests also saw increases, with Ricky Martin’s streams rising 145% in the US after the performance, according to Spotify data.
The songs sung during the Super Bowl are also obtaining significant increases in reproductions in the US, highlighting ‘Yo Perreo Sola’ (2,170%), ‘El Apagón’ (1,320%), ‘Party’ (1,130%) and ‘What happened to Hawaii’ (1,040%).
The Puerto Rican singer starred in a great show full of references to Puerto Rican and Latin culture, and claimed that America is the entire continent, not just the United States, with a display of all the flags of the region.

Criticism from the American right, which had already rejected his choice for the Super Bowl, was immediate. President Donald Trump himself called the event a “confrontation with the greatness of America.”
Bad Bunny currently occupies the top six spots on the daily list of most streamed songs on Spotify in the US and, in January alone, surpassed 1.3 billion streams globally, as fans reviewed his music ahead of the Super Bowl.
He is the only singer to be named Spotify’s Global Artist of the Year four times.
