Former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson’s new children’s book was withdrawn from sale following recent scandals involving her and her ex-husband, former Prince Andrew, over their links to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, according to the BBC this Friday.

The publishing data analysis company NielsenIQ Book Data confirmed this Thursday to the British public broadcaster that Ferguson’s title, “Flora and Fern: Kindness Along The Way,” had been removed at the request of the publisher after having postponed its publication on several occasions.

The launch of the children’s story was initially scheduled for October 9 and until last week it was available on Amazon starting November 20, but it has now been completely removed from the website, as well as from the page of its publisher, New Frontier Publishing.

Ferguson, 66, lost her title of duchess at the same time that her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, voluntarily renounced in October the use of his nomenclature of Duke of York and other noble recognitions due to his links with Epstein and his alleged sexual encounters with Virginia Giuffre, one of the victims of the American magnate, when she was a minor.

Since then, King Charles III has also officially removed the title of prince from Andrew, which was granted to him by birth, as he was the son of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Andrés continues to deny all accusations of a sexual nature against him.

The controversies with Epstein already affected Ferguson last September, when several emails exchanged between the two in 2011 came to light, in which he called the convicted pedophile his “supreme friend”, which caused numerous charities and children’s organizations that he sponsored to withdraw their sponsorship.

According to the BBC, New Frontier Publishing has not commented on the matter nor has it given any official explanation as to why Ferguson’s story has been withdrawn from sale.

On the other hand, Neill Denny, editor of the Book Brunch media outlet, specialized in the publishing sector, assured the British network that the decision is supposed to be a response to the “current controversies” and added: “It is not the right time to publish a book by Sarah Ferguson.”
