Four years after selling her famed Woodlands mansion, Nan & Company’s Nancy Almodovar has added Theresa Roemer to the brokerage’s roster.

The Houston socialite once known for her 3,000-square-foot closet will represent The Woodlands, according to a news release. She’s a longtime resident of Carlton Woods, one of the community’s exclusive neighborhoods.

Nan & Company opened its Woodlands office in March of last year.

Roemer and her closet went viral about a decade ago, landing a feature on Good Morning America. The three-story space included a champagne bar and salon, Texas Monthly reported in 2015. A spiral staircase connected the three floors of the massive closet.

The closet reportedly cost $500,000 to construct.

Almodovar had the listing for the home, at 47 Grand Regency, and secured the sale in 2021. The sale price wasn’t made public, but the 17,380-square-foot mansion was listed for $6.5 million. The house was built in 2004 by the disgraced Reverend Kirbyjon Caldwell, the televangelist who’s serving a six-year sentence in federal prison for wire fraud. Roemer and her husband Lamar bought the house in 2012 and flipped it.

Roemer and Almodovar gave Million Dollar Listing star Ryan Serhant a home tour before the sale.

Roemer started off her career building a fitness company called Body by Design.

Roemer has been a body builder, oil tycoon, entrepreneur, house flipper and podcast host. She’s heavily involved in philanthropy, even raising $100,000 for Child Legacy International while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2011.

The brokerage also recently hired JD Adamson from Douglas Elliman and Chanel Chapman and Matt Issa, both from Compass.

Nan & Company counts among its recent sales Houston’s iconic “Darth Vader House,” known for its angular, all-black facade. Sculptor Enrique Cabrera purchased the home, at 3201 University Boulevard.
