However, this Spider-Man TV show, with over 1 billion hours streamed on Disney+, is the hero’s first movie or TV show to grace the screens in 2026. Spidey and his Amazing Friends season 4’s new episodes continue to flesh out what has become a wide Marvel universe on TV for young viewers. As is the norm for new Spider-Man releases, a suit change happens in season 4.

While it is not a permanent move, Spider-Man dons a pirate-themed costume in the animated series’ new season. It makes sense, as Spidey and his Amazing Friends season 4 has marked the start of the show’s Water Webs arc. The vibrant take on Spider-Man includes a mostly blue pirate hat with a touch of red, a spider emblem, and webbing. Spidey also sports a blue collar, a brown belt, and more.
How Spider-Man’s Pirate Costume Compares To Other Versions Of The Marvel Hero’s Suit?
When it comes to live-action Spider-Man appearances, none of the hero’s suits come close to the pirate-themed design from Spidey and his Amazing Friends. However, Andrew Garfield’s version of the wall-crawler did match the playful spirit of the animated series by incorporating different clothing items on top of his Spider-Man suit. A scarf, a firefighter’s helmet, a beanie, a jacket, and more appear in The Amazing Spider-Man movies.
In animated form, Spidey and his Amazing Friends finds company in Drake Bell’s Ultimate Spider-Man series. There, Bell’s main version of Spider-Man donned a traditional pirate hat and eye-patch, while Will Friedle voiced Web Beard, the Spider-Man from the Pirate Universe in one of the series’ Spider-Verse events. As such, the pirate theme is a match for fun Spider-Man suits in animation.
